El Paso, TX - Two Injured in Semi-Truck Rollover on I-10

El Paso, TX (October 21, 2023) - Two people were hurt after an accident involving semi-trucks in the El Paso area on Thursday, October 19. 

The accident occurred on Interstate 10 near Transmountain Drive that afternoon. A diesel tanker semi-truck was traveling on the interstate when it lost control and overturned. An estimated 6,000 gallons of fuel spilled onto the roadway as a result of the crash, closing both sides of the interstate for several hours. 

The tanker went off-road where it crashed into another semi-truck. Two people were transported to a hospital for treatment of sustained injuries, and one of the victims was listed in serious condition. 

No additional information on the accident has been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
