Tarzan, TX (July 13, 2023) - A truck driver was injured after a collision involving two 18-wheelers in the Tarzan area on Friday, July 7.
The accident was reported on TX-349 near TX-176 in Martin County that afternoon. Local sources indicated that another truck hauling diesel fuel rear-ended a southbound semi-truck. The truck carrying fuel caught fire due to the impact.
Both truck drivers were able to exit their vehicles. One of them was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. The roadway was later reopened at around 2:15 p.m.
