San Antonio, TX (May 5, 2023) - Two people were killed, and another was injured in a high-speed pursuit in San Antonio on Thursday, May 4.
The deadly accident was reported on US-57 at around 12:30 p.m. It was reported that two men involved in human trafficking were speeding in a black SUV evading the police. The vehicle crashed into a semi-trailer that was hauling fuel.
The two men inside the vehicle were killed in the collision. A driver in the SUV and the truck driver were sent to a nearby hospital for treatment. A deputy was injured attempting to extricate the occupants of the SUV, which had caught fire.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
