North Texas Daycare Worker Arrested for Sexual Assault of Toddler

According to Texas news sources, a male daycare worker in McKinney has been arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child after being accused of molesting a toddler who attends the daycare.
The north Texas man, 23-year-old Jordan Ronald Smith, was working at the Little Professor's Montessori Learning Academy at the time of his arrest. He is currently being held at the Collin County jail on $100,000 bond.
Although the Joint East Texas Task Force members, the McKinney Police, or the owner of the daycare center, Danielle Cosey, would provide details about the Texas daycare sexual abuse case, the family of the alleged victim stated that a four-year-old girl who attended the daycare was sexually abused while being forced to wear a mask that covered her eyes. The family added that the mask described by their little girl was found at the childcare center by investigators. In addition, the family stated that they had brought the child to a hospital for an examination that revealed she had been sexually assaulted.
Neighbors say that Smith lived with his grandparents and that the family had been nice.
State officials are conducting an investigation into the daycare itself.
Currently, Texas officials are looking for information regarding other possible abuse victims, either involving other children at the daycare or other children who had contact with the alleged abuser. If you have any information related to this case or another case of child sexual assault of molestation, contact McKinney police investigator Natalie Irwin at (972) 547-2726 immediately.
