On December 22, 2010, Robert Barr was driving north on Texas Highway 6 when the commercial tractor-trailer in front of him attempted to make a right-hand turn. The trucker turned incorrectly, causing his truck to take up two lanes of traffic and causing Barr to slam into the back of the big rig.
