Tire Company Sued After Texas Car Accident Caused By Blowout

Rosemary Jackson Johnson has filed a Texas wrongful death lawsuit against Cooper Tire & Rubber Company regarding the death of her husband in a June car accident in Mount Vernon, Texas.
According to the Southeastern Texas Record, Henry Johnson was driving in Texas on June 19 when a tire blew out on his car, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash on Highway 30. He died of his car accident injuries, which his wife says could have been prevented if not for the poor design and construction of the tires on his car. According to the lawsuit, the tread separated from the tire directly before the accident because of poor materials and flawed manufacturing methods.
Johnson is suing for loss of care, maintenance, support, services, advise, counsel, loss of pecuniary contributions, loss of companionship and society, loss of consortium, mental anguish, loss of inheritance, medical, funeral and burial expenses, interest and court costs. She is also suing on behalf of her late husband for disfigurement and conscious pain.
