Austin, TX – One Killed in Truck Crash on MoPac Expressway

Austin, TX (February 1, 2021) – A multi-vehicle collision reported in the Austin area claimed one person’s life on Sunday evening. Just before 8 p.m., on January 31, emergency crews were called to the scene of a collision on MoPac Expressway.

Reports from authorities show that a crash involving several vehicles occurred in the 1700 block of MoPac Expressway. The crash caused moderate delays in the area between Windsor Road and Enfield Road.

Crews arrived at the scene and located one severely injured victim. Austin-Travis County EMS attempted to perform CPR on the victim and render life-saving aid to them. However, the victim ended up passing away due to their injuries while at the scene. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
