San Antonio, TX – Man Injured in Truck Accident on US-281

San Antonio, TX (November 2, 2020) – Emergency crews were called to the site of a vehicle collision on Saturday morning that left one man seriously injured. At approximately 2:35 a.m., on October 31, the San Antonio Police Department responded to the site of a vehicle accident on US Highway 281.

Reports from authorities show that a man in a pickup truck was traveling north on US Highway 281 when his vehicle became involved in a collision. As a result of the crash, the pickup truck collided with an 18-wheeler. The impact of the collision resulted in severe damage to the pickup truck, pinning the driver underneath.

Firefighters utilized the Jaws of Life to extricate the trapped man from his vehicle. He was then transported to University Hospital via Air Life with critical injuries. The driver of the semi-truck did not sustain any injuries in the accident. Investigations surrounding the crash are currently underway.
