McKinney, TX – Pedestrian Injured in Car Crash on S McDonald St

McKinney, TX (October 22, 2020) – One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after being involved in a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday evening. At around 11:10 p.m., on October 20, the McKinney Police Department and firefighters responded to the site of a crash on South McDonald Street.

Reports provided by authorities show that a pedestrian was crossing South McDonald Street at the intersection with East Standifer Street when they were struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the accident. The victim was rendered aid at the scene and transported to an area hospital with code 3 traumatic injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the accident.

Police and firefighters closed both lanes of the roadway to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. At this time, investigations are underway.
