Deadly Truck Wreck on LBJ Expressway Near Marsh Lane in Dallas

LBJ Freeway was closed in both directions for around four hours after a dump truck jumped the concrete barrier near Marsh Lane and killed two.

Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesperson Jason Evans says the deceased were in the same vehicle — the white Lexus 350 pinned at the front of the truck. A Mazda was also trapped under the truck. Evans says a third person sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The dump truck involved in the truck accident is registered to Rizo Trucking out of Garland. Andy Rittler, spokesman for the LBJ Express construction project, says via email that “though the investigation is ongoing, we can confirm that the trucking company involved is known to have been a subcontractor on the LBJ Express project.”
LBJ Express officials, along with the project’s subcontractors, are assisting Dallas police with their investigation, says the statement.
