Austin, TX – Accident on S Highway 183 Claims Bicyclist’s Life

Austin, TX (August 27, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Austin area on Wednesday evening claimed one victim’s life. Just before 10:30 p.m., on August 26, the Austin Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 183.

Reports show that a bicyclist was traveling along the northbound side of Highway 183 northbound service road when they were struck by a vehicle near Lake Creek Parkway.

The rider sustained fatal injuries in the accident. The victim was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported in this accident.

At this time, the police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
