Lufkin, TX – Ashley Ray, Mario Garcia & Five Kids Injured in Crash on TX-103

Lufkin, TX (July 25, 2020) – An automobile accident reported on Friday afternoon sent several victims to area hospitals with injuries. According to reports, at around 4 p.m., on July 24, the Texas Department of Public Safety was called to the site a collision on Texas State Highway 103.

Investigations surrounding the crash show that a 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck was facing westbound on the highway while waiting for an eastbound vehicle to pass so they could make a turn before it collided with a westbound 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV. The crash caused the Chevrolet to overturn and land in a ditch.

The 30-year-old driver of the Chevrolet, Ashley Ray, and her passenger, 34-year-old Mario Garcia, were transported to Woodland Heights Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Five children involved in the crash were transported to Woodland Heights Medical Center for treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
