San Antonio, TX – Johnell Hornsby Killed in Crash on N Oakes St

San Antonio, TX (March 14, 2020) –  At around 1:30 a.m., on March 14, the San Antonio Police Department was called to the scene of an auto accident in the 1200 block of North Oakes Street.

Reports from Police indicate that 29-year-old Brian Castillo was traveling north along North Oakes Street, in a 2014 Dodge Dart, at a high rate of speed. After crossing into the southbound lane, Castillo lost control of his vehicle and went off the roadway, striking a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, who was identified as 28-year-old Johnell Hornsby, suffered fatal injuries and was immediately declared deceased.

Castillo was injured and arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter.

The incident remains under investigation with the SAPD.
