Dallas, TX – Woman Killed in North Central Expressway (US-75) Crash

Dallas, TX (February 24, 2020) – A drunk-driving accident sadly claimed one woman’s life on Sunday.

On February 22, 57-year-old Placida Hernandez-Ramirez was driving in the 11800 block of North Central Expressway when she noticed another automobile collision near the Coit Road exit. She began to slow her vehicle to exit when she was struck from behind by another vehicle driven by a 28-year-old male.

Both Placida Hernandez-Ramirez and the second driver pulled off to the side of the road and began to exit their vehicles to exchange insurance information. As Hernandez-Ramirez exited her vehicle, she was struck by another vehicle.

Hernandez-Ramirez suffered fatal injuries in this collision and was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was rushed to Medical City Hospital for treatment.

The 28-year-old male was arrested for DWI.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
