Jefferson County, TX – 2 Injured in Crash on TX-73

Jefferson County, TX (February 20, 2020) – A truck accident on State Highway 73 left two victims with serious injuries on Wednesday.

At around 1 p.m., on February 19, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 73 just west of Taylor Bayou. Reports indicate that a pickup truck and a large multi-axle dump truck collided along the roadway.

The driver of the dump truck, who was identified as Ferrer Perez Maidley, suffered injuries in the collision and was transported to an area hospital.

The 45-year-old driver of the pickup truck, who was identified as Michael Hughes, was also injured and rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
