Waco, TX – Jesus Salas Rodriguez Killed in I-35 Crash

Waco, TX (February 14, 2020) – At around 12:45 a.m., on February 13, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 35.

Reports indicate that 34-year-old Jesus Salas Rodriguez was riding in an 18-wheeler along the roadway when his vehicle collided with a second semi-truck near Loop 340. The impact of the collision caused the Rodriguez’s semi-truck to collide with a Chevrolet Tahoe and burst into flames.

Rodriguez suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was declared deceased at the scene.

Two victims inside the second semi-truck were both injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation by DPS.
