El Paso, TX – Firefighter Injured in Crash on Transmountain Rd

El Paso, TX (February 13, 2020) – At around 7:30 a.m., on February 12, authorities responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Transmountain Road.

Reports indicate that a firefighter was responding to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the westbound lanes of the roadway. As the firefighter exited his vehicle to approach the incident, he was struck by another vehicle.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a local area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

Police in El Paso are currently investigating.
