Aaron Stevens Killed in Godley, TX Electrocution Accident

GODLEY, TX (02/01/2017) — An electrocution accident on Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of Aaron Stevens.

Police identified 26-year-old Aaron Stevens (of Burleson) as the victim of an accident involving a live power line that occurred at 6000 County Road 1001 in Godley, Texas.

According to Godley police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Cantrell, Stevens and his brother were installing a sign for Multi-Chem (an oilfield chemical business) when the lift they were in was raised too high, causing Stevens' head to touch the overhead power line.

CPR was performed on Stevens and he was transported via CareFlite to Texas Health Cleburne Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 2:16 p.m.

It's unclear who Stevens was working for at the time of the electrocution accident, but police say he was not an employee of Multi-Chem.
