It’s tempting to tap your brakes to warn a tailgater off sometimes. The problem with this is that they may not notice that you hit your brakes and you could get rear ended. Whether or not you think they deserve it, it’s not a good idea. They may not see the hazard, and you may end up in a bad wreck because of it.

Flashing Your Brights

When someone comes at you with their brights on, it’s natural to get annoyed. Especially with today’s headlights, they can be blinding. Pushing someone on the road means tailgating them, honking the horn or making gestures that imply that you’re trying to pass or get them to go faster. If they’re driving the speed limit, you have no right to do this. If they’re driving way below the speed limit, wait for a safe opportunity to get by and be patient in the meantime.
