MATHIS, TX (05/19/2015) — 50-year-old Faith Hubbard, of Fort Worth, was killed in a major accident involving two semi-trucks and an RV on Interstate 37 Tuesday afternoon.
According to DPS troopers, the driver of a cattle truck was traveling northbound on I-37 at an unsafe speed when he clipped the rear of another northbound 18-wheeler. As a result of the collision, the 2nd truck then struck a recreational vehicle in the adjacent lane. The RV was pushed off the highway and came to a rest on its roof, while the 18-wheeler also rolled onto its side.

The driver of the cattle truck, who was also hospitalized following the wreck, will be cited for failure to maintain speed. It is unclear weather or not he will face additional charges. The cattle truck was reportedly traveling from Raymondville, Texas to Lubbock, Texas at the time of the crash.

Commentary

It's frustrating to see stories like this where clear negligence results in tragedy to innocent people. Our thoughts are with the Hubbard family at this time.
