The deadly crash was reported on Interstate 35 near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at around 8 a.m. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of an auto-pedestrian accident on the interstate. A 28-year-old Waco woman had reportedly been hit by an 18-wheeler. 

She suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. The area was closed while emergency crews were present. The roadway has since been reopened.
