The accident was reported on Interstate 20 EB near W. County Road early that morning as a pedestrian was working on a disabled vehicle. An 18-wheeler traveling on the highway hit the pedestrian and the disabled vehicle before hitting a road sign and utility pole. The victim was hurt and transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries.
The truck driver was not injured in the collision. The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders and local officials were present. No additional information on the accident has been provided at this time.
