Houston, TX – Postal Worker Killed in Hit-&-Run on Julia St

The deadly accident took place at the 243 block of Julia Street that afternoon. It was reported that a truck from the local post office was traveling southbound when it attempted to make a left turn onto Bauman Road. The vehicle was followed by a 2011 white Ford Expedition sport-utility vehicle. 

The driver of the Ford hit the rear of the postal truck. The impact caused the truck to crash into a ditch. The postal worker was thrown from and crushed by the vehicle. Nearby witnesses provided aid to the injured man and were able to pull him from the ditch. 

The victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital. 

The suspect driver fled the scene despite nearby witnesses attempting to stop them. No additional information on the deadly accident has been made public at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the deadly crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
