Guthrie, TX – Three Die in Head-On Crash with Truck on US-82

Carrollton, TX - Four Killed, Three Hurt in Semi-Truck Crash on I-35

The fatal accident was reported on US-82 that afternoon. Local sources indicated that a 32-year-old Lubbock man was headed westbound in a 2014 Toyota Corolla when the vehicle veered onto the shoulder before crossing into oncoming traffic. The Toyota crashed head-on with an oncoming truck hauling a trailer. 

The driver of the Toyota and his two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. The other victims were identified as a 27-year-old woman and a 3-year-old child, both from Lubbock. The 40-year-old Springtown man operating the truck was also injured and transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock for treatment. 

No additional information has been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
