The deadly accident was reported in the 1900 block of S. Mopac Expressway early that morning at around 1:05 a.m. A 26-year-old man was driving a sedan and was traveling on the roadway when he collided with the rear of a construction truck. The driver was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the construction truck was also hospitalized for treatment of sustained injuries. At this time, the identities of the involved parties have been withheld.
