It was reported that a 49-year-old Abilene man was headed southbound in a pickup truck on Farm to Market Road 1661 as an 18-wheeler was traveling down TX-92. The two vehicles collided at the crossing of the roadways at around 6 p.m.
The driver of the pickup suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The identity of the deceased party has not been provided at this time.
