Texas School Bus and Truck Collision Injures 32

The Associated Press reports that a commercial truck and school bus collision in Temple, Texas, has left 32 people injured including 29 school children.

Three children and the bus driver suffered serious injuries and are still hospitalized.
The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the hardware truck clipped the school bus possibly after running a stop sign and possibly in foggy conditions. The bus rolled onto its side, ejecting one child out of an emergency roof hatch and rendering the bus driver unconscious.
The bus was transporting students of all grade levels to three different schools in the Academy school district, located about 60 miles outside of Austin. The Texas bus accident took place on Farm-to-Market Road 93 in Temple at around 7:30 in the morning.
The injured were transported by ambulance to Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, where 29 students were treated and released. The driver of the truck and the two adults on the bus only suffered minor injuries. The bus driver is listed in critical condition, while three children remain in the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
