Texas Children Orphaned By Car Accident Benefit From Fundraisers

Just a month after a horrific car accident in Texas left three children orphaned, a number of people have come forward to help, from small town friends to worldwide celebrities.
Three weeks ago, 41-year-old Joshua Berry, his wife 40-year-old Robin Berry, and their three children were driving home to Houston from a vacation when their minivan was struck head-on by another vehicle. The couple died instantly in the traffic accident, while all three of their children were injured. According to reports 9-year-old Peter and 8-year-old Aaron suffered serious spinal chord injuries while 6-year-old Willa suffered broken bones. Doctors are unsure of whether the two boys will walk again, and the pair will head to Chicago later this week to begin treatment at a specialized medical center.
In the other vehicle that was involved, one person was killed and another critically injured. A baby in the car survived without injury.
However, as tragic as the event is, the children of the Berry family are getting an outpouring of love and support. As family members near and far come to their aid, Local Texans are organizing bake sales and benefits. At the same time, celebrities like Justin Bieber, the Houston Rockets, and others are pitching in to the cause. A campaign called Show Your Hearts allows those interested to donate online or with a text message. All donations go to the Joshua and Robin Berry Children’s Trust.
