Target Recalls Halloween Frog Mask Due To Suffocation Dangers

With Halloween just around the corner, it is vital that your children have safe costumes that do not pose unneeded threats or present potential dangers. With that said, we are alerting our readers to a recent recall announced by Target and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regarding a plush frog mask that may be a suffocation risk for children.
According to the CPSC, the child-sized Halloween frog masks were sold at Target stores across the country in August and September of this year for $1.00. The company believes that about 3,400 masks were sold to consumers. While no accidents or injuries have been reported in connection to the Halloween masks, Target is concerned that the masks do not provide proper ventilation when secured to a child’s face and are a suffocation hazard.
Parents can identify the dangerous frog masks by looking for UPC code 06626491474 on the mask, which is green with yellow and red portions and is attached to a child’s head with a green elastic band.
If you have purchased this defective frog mask, the CPSC recommends that you take the mask away from children immediately and return it to a Target store for a full refund.
While Halloween is a fun holiday for the whole family, it is important that your children are dressed in costumes that are free of defects and dangers. If your child has been harmed by a defective Halloween product, speak with a Texas personal injury attorney at Rasansky Law Firm today.
