Suspect Found In Houston Hit-And-Run Boat Accident

Eight years after the accident, Texas Police have finally arrested a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run boat crash that took place in on Lake Buchanan in Llano County.

According to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, 26-year-old Travis Marburger of Burnet County has been charged with second-degree felony manslaughter and possessing a boat with a removed hull identification.
The boat accident took place in 2002 when 18-year-old high school football player Justin Roberts and two friends were on a fishing boat around midnight on May 3. The boat was struck by a blue speedboat, which immediately left the scene of the crime and was towed away by a white pickup truck.
The boating accident arrest was made after an anonymous tip came in last month and after police searched the man’s property. Marburger is being held on over $100,000 bail at the Burnet County Jail.
