Reports from authorities show that a 2015 Ford Focus was traveling south on Farm to Market Road 3226 when it collided with a 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander at the intersection with Texas State Highway 64. The impact of the crash sent both vehicles off the road and into a ditch on the southbound side of the roadway.
The Ford’s driver, 23-year-old Deandre Jones, was rushed to UT Health Center Main where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday, December 7.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, 34-year-old Daniel Quintero Ortiz, was hospitalized at UT Health Center Main following the crash. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
