Silsbee, TX – Mark Randall Wallace Killed in Motorcycle Accident on FM 92

Silsbee, TX (September 16, 2020) – An accident reported on Sunday evening claimed one man’s life in the Silsbee area. Just before 8 p.m., on September 13, the Texas Department of Public Safety was called to the scene of an accident on Farm to Market Road 92.

Reports provided by local news sources show that a 1998 Chevrolet passenger vehicle was traveling north on Farm to Market Road 92 when the vehicle crossed over the center lines. After entering the southbound lanes, the Chevrolet collided head-on with a 2013 Kawasaki motorcycle, which was driven by 61-year-old Mark Randall Wallace. The driver of the Chevrolet, who was identified as 53-year-old Jerry Sangwin, fled the scene of the accident.

After the initial collision, the rider was struck by a 2008 Dodge pickup truck. Wallace, who was identified as a Silsbee High School teacher, sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was declared deceased at the scene.

Investigations surrounding the accident are currently underway.
