Reports show that 54-year-old Jerry Hicks was working at the Tyson Foods located on US Highway 75 when he became pinned between a semi-truck trailer and the loading dock as the trailer was being moved into place.

Hickman sustained severe injuries in the accident. EMTs rendered aid to the man at the scene before transporting him to Wilson N Jones Hospital in Sherman where he later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the cause of the incident remains under investigation with the police in Sherman.

Sherman, TX (January 8, 2021) – One man lost his life following a workplace accident in the Sherman area. At around 11:30 a.m., on January 7, emergency crews were notified of a workplace accident at the Tyson Foods plant.
