Rice, TX – Jonathan Husky Killed in Motorcycle Crash with Truck on I-45

Rice, TX (May 22, 2020) – An early morning collision claimed one man’s life in Rice on Thursday, according to reports.

At around 6:55 a.m., on May 21, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 45.

Reports show that a maroon Freightliner truck tractor was traveling south in the right lane of the interstate followed by a blue 2019 Yamaha R3 motorcycle, driven by 25-year-old Jonathan Husky.

For unknown reasons, as the motorcyclist attempted to pass the Freightliner, the driver of the truck began to engage in sporadic driving behaviors, causing a collision between the two vehicles.

Husky was ejected from his vehicle and struck by a black 2008 Kia Optima.

Husky suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
