Reports provided by authorities show that a male motorcyclist was traveling through an intersection near the 1900 block of Woodworth Boulevard, just before 4 p.m., when his vehicle was struck by an oncoming car. The rider on the motorcycle was seriously injured. He was transported via medical helicopter to a hospital in Houston. A female passenger on the motorcycle, who was identified as 27-year-old Maccie Rodrigues, was rushed to a local hospital via ambulance for critical injuries. Authorities confirmed that Rodrigues later succumbed to her injuries. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
