Reports from DPS show that at approximately 2 p.m., a 2017 Nissan Maxima was traveling south on US Highway 62 when it collided with a 2018 Kia Soul. The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to rollover several times. The driver of the Kia sustained serious injuries in the accident. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Nissan was also transported to the same hospital with undisclosed injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
