Reports provided by local news sources show that a 2009 Smart Car was traveling north on the state highway when the vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a semi-truck near Tulane Road.
The driver of the Smart Car, who was identified as 57-year-old Kitty Ledger, sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was immediately declared deceased by responding officers. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured in the accident. At this time, authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding this accident.
