Lubbock, TX – Two Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Ave Q

Lubbock, TX (September 16, 2020) – An accident reported in the Lubbock area on Tuesday evening claimed the lives of two people. Just before 10:15 p.m., on September 15, the Lubbock Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Avenue Q.

Reports provided by authorities show that a motorcycle occupied by two people was sitting at the intersection of Avenue Q and 47th Street when the vehicle was struck by a sedan.

Both riders on the motorcycle were fatally injured. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and declared the two victims deceased.

Police responding to the area closed all northbound and southbound lanes of Avenue Q to investigate the accident. At this time, investigations surrounding the cause of the crash are ongoing.
