Little Professor’s Daycare – Search for Potential Victims and Information

McKinney police and the Joint East Texas Task Force recently arrested a daycare worker named Jordan Ronald Smith for sexually assaulting a child at Little Professor’s Preschool & Daycare Montessori Learning Academy.  The alleged victim is a 4-year-old girl. The police have not officially released details, but the child’s family has offered information in the hopes that those with more information on the case will come forward.

According to the family, the child was made to wear a mask with the eyes taped over while she was sexually assaulted at the daycare. Investigators found a mask matching the child’s description and medical tests indicate she was sexually abused.
Investigators are seeking anyone who worked or was involved in any way with the day care. So far no other potential victims have been identified, but the investigation is ongoing. Local FOX news reported that the police are “calling it a ‘very fragile case.’” If the case truly is fragile than any information, even small details, could make all the difference in the outcome of the case. If you know anything please come forward. The investigator to contact with information is Natalie Irwin at (972) 547-2726 or nirwin@mckinneytexas.org.

More on Smith:

Smith is 23 years old and had been living with his grandparents. The family has an excellent local reputation. Neighbors told NBC News they were in “shock” over what has happened. Smith’s emergency contact at the prison has the same name, Danielle Cosey, as the owner of the day care. Right now not much more is known about the connection between Smith and the day care owner.
As for the daycare itself, WFAA reported that the state inspection records indicated two minor violations earlier in the year.
