Leander, TX – Travell Mazion Killed in Ranch Rd 1431 Collision

Leander, TX (July 16, 2020) – An automobile accident involving several vehicles claimed one man’s life and left two other victims seriously injured on Wednesday evening. At approximately 9:30 p.m., on July 15, the Austin-Travis County EMS assisted the Austin Police Department in response to a major motor vehicle accident in the 18000 block of Farm to Market Road 1431.

Reports provided by the Austin-Travis County EMS show that a three-vehicle collision occurred along the roadway for unknown reasons. One person was discovered at the scene unresponsive and trapped inside their vehicle. Two other victims involved were also located pinned inside their vehicles. Firefighters extricated all three victims from their vehicles. One male victim was declared deceased at the scene. Authorities later identified the victim as 24-year-old Travell Mazion, an undefeated San Antonio boxer.

Two other adult victims were injured in the accident. The first victim was transported to Round Rock Medical Center for treatment of serious, life-threatening injuries. The second victim was transported via Life Flite to the same hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the Austin Police Department is investigating the collision.
