Ingleside, TX – Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Vehicle on TX-361

Ingleside, TX (August 19, 2020) – A bicycle accident reported in Ingleside claimed one victim’s life on Tuesday. Just after 12 p.m., on August 18, the Ingleside Police Department was requested at the site of a collision on Texas State Highway 361.

Reports provided by officers with the Ingleside Police Department show that a bicyclist was riding on Texas State Highway 361 when they were struck by a silver Ford F-250 pickup truck at the intersection with Avenue A. The bicyclist sustained major injuries in the crash. The victim was rendered aid on-site and rushed to Northshore Emergency Center in Portland. The victim, who was identified only as a male bicyclist, succumbed to his injuries while in the hospital. Investigations surrounding the accident are currently underway with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Ingleside Police Department.
