Henderson County, TX – Leanna Hester & Blake Stanford Killed in FM 315 Crash

Henderson County, TX (October 27, 2020) – An auto accident reported in Henderson County claimed the lives of two people on Sunday morning. On October 25, the Texas Department of Public Safety was called to the site of a major vehicle collision on Farm to Market Road 315.

Reports provided by authorities show that 20-year-old Brandon Collins was driving south on Farm to Market Road 315 in a 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck when his vehicle crossed over the center line and crashed head-on into a northbound 2000 Dodge Neon. The impact of the crash sent both vehicles into ditches on the sides of the road.

The driver of the Neon, 23-year-old Leanna Hester, was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of her injuries. Her passenger, 24-year-old Blake Stanford, was rushed to UT Health East Texas in Tyler for the treatment of critical injuries. Authorities confirmed that Stanford succumbed to his injuries later in the day.

Collins was transported to UT Health in Athens for evaluation. He was later arrested for intoxication manslaughter. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
