Glasscock, TX – James Nyerges ID’s as Plane Crash Victim off FM 461

Glasscock, TX (January 31, 2020) –At around 5:15 p.m., emergency crews rushed to the scene of an incident in northwestern Glasscock County. Reports from authorities indicate that 76-year-old James Nyerges was traveling from Abilene to Odessa in a twin-engine aircraft when the plane crashed just 2 miles west of Farm to Market Road 461.

Nyerges sustained injuries in the collision and was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital.

At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
