Georgetown, TX – One Person Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on FM 971

Georgetown, TX (September 21, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Sunday afternoon in Williamson County claimed one person’s life. At around 12:50 p.m., on September 20, the Texas Department of Public Safety assisted the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office at the site of a collision on Farm to Market Road 971.

Reports show that a 2000 Honda Accord was traveling west on Farm to Market Road 971 when it collided head-on with a 2013 Cadillac Escalade near the intersection with North Towns Mill Road.

The driver of the Honda was critically injured in the accident. Crews rendered aid to the driver at the scene and transported them to a local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
