Reports show that a Fort Worth Police Department officer was attempting to pull over a vehicle along the northbound side of Interstate 35 West. The driver fled from the scene. An officer went ahead of the vehicle and attempted to deploy a stop stick around West Loop 820 near Camp Bowie West Boulevard.

While in the road, the officer was struck by the fleeing vehicle. The officer suffered serious injuries in the accident. He was transported via CareFlite to John Peter Smith Hospital in unknown condition. At this time, police are investigating.

Fort Worth, TX (June 14, 2020) – At approximately 11:30 a.m., on June 13, emergency crews were called to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Interstate 820.

Reports show that a Fort Worth Police Department officer was attempting to pull over a vehicle along the northbound side of Interstate 35 West. The driver fled from the scene.
