Fog In Jim Wells County Causes Multiple Texas Car Accidents

Fog In Jim Wells County Causes Multiple Texas Car Accidents

A number of traffic accidents were reported this Wednesday morning in Jim Wells County as a thick, dense fog rolled into South Texas. Several injuries were reported, and Texas police are warning drivers to slow down in low-visibility conditions to prevent chain reaction crashes.
According to the Alice Echo-News Journal, both a tanker truck and a sheriff’s department K-9 vehicle were involved in an accident outside of Bentonville because of foggy weather. Later that morning, another car accident took place when a woman driving a pickup truck did not see a stop sign because of low visibility and struck an oncoming car in an intersection. In the last accident, an SUV rear-ended another vehicle when the driver failed to see that traffic was slowing because of fog.
The best way to avoid a car accident due to fog is to stay off of the roads in poor weather conditions. If you must drive in fog or are caught in fog, be sure to slow down and pull over if necessary.
