Eleven Injured In Dallas Boat Collision On Lewisville Lake

Eleven Injured In Dallas Boat Collision On Lewisville Lake

Two boats from the same boat rental company crashed into each other near the Lewisville Lake Toll Bridge about 35 miles northwest of Dallas. The tragic boat accident left eight children and three adults injured and in need of medical treatment.
The Texas boat accident, which is under investigation by local authorities and the Texas Park & Wildlife Department, occurred when the two rental boat t-boned, sinking one boat and damaging the other. Of the 14 people involved, three received serious injuries and were airlifted from the accident scene. One of the three seriously injured victims, a 10-year-old boy, received a head injury that required immediate surgery. Only one male adult was left uninjured in the boat crash. All of the injured boaters were transported to five different hospitals in the area.
Authorities stressed that while so many were hurt, the outcome would have been much, much worse if the two parties were not wearing their lifejackets.
