El Paso, TX – Pedestrian Injured in Car Crash on Hondo Pass Dr

El Paso, TX (September 18, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident in El Paso sent one person to a local hospital with critical injuries. A call for assistance was received at around 5:30 a.m., on September 16.

Reports show that a pedestrian was walking in the vicinity of Hondo Pass Drive and Dyer Street when they were struck by a vehicle. Crews responding to the crash immediately closed off the eastbound side of the road to prevent thru-traffic.

A pedestrian was located at the site of the accident suffering from severe injuries. Medical personnel treated the victim at the scene of the accident and transported them to a local hospital for immediate medical attention.

At this time, the police in El Paso are investigating. After clearing the scene, the Texas Department of Transportation declared the roadway reopened. At this time, investigations to determine the cause of the crash are currently underway.
