East Texas Accident Victim Files $75k Lawsuit After Car Wreck

A Mansfield, Texas, man has filed a personal injury lawsuit in Marshall against Gelco Corp following a car wreck that injured the man. The Texas lawsuit states that the car that hit the man was tailgating and failed to control his speed at an intersection. 200409959-001
According to court records, East Texas resident Rodney Parnell was driving on Highway 84 in Mansfield on July 14, 2010 when he slowed down to stop behind another vehicle at a red light. The vehicle behind him, however, failed to stop soon enough and slammed into the back of Parnell’s Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. Parnell’s truck also hit the car in front of him, causing Parnell serious injury.
Parnell is suing the owner of the vehicle for $75,000 in damages, including medical costs, loss of earning capability, loss of earnings, pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment, and loss of interest.
