East Dallas Woman Killed, Son Injured In Late-Night Crash

A young Far East Dallas mother was killed in a car accident following a late-night argument with her husband, police say.
According to the Dallas news, 23-year-old Tiffany Travis was driving away from her home after a domestic argument at around 10:30 at night when she slammed into the concrete base of a traffic light pole on Ferguson Road near Oates Drive. Dallas Police say that she had been drinking before the accident.
Travis’ two-year-old son was in the back seat of the car at the time of the accident and was injured in the crash. It is not clear whether or not the child was secured in a car seat. The child is now in stable condition at Children’s Medical Center, where he is being treated for cuts and bruises.
Travis was rushed to Baylor University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead a few hours after the crash occurred.
